Each Bambu Lab AMS has 4 filament slots and supports up to 16 colours for breath-taking prints. Up to 4 AMS can be installed in tandem. Connect 4 AMS via the AMS hub to produce 16-color printing.

Removing Support Without Hassle
With AMS, Bambu Lab printers can utilise dissolvable filament or snap-away support material to lessen the discomfort of removing supports.
No More Filament Leftover
Without AMS, replacing the spool manually when the filament runs out causes printing to stop and wastes filaments.
With AMS, switching to a new spool is smooth, maintaining uninterrupted printing and reducing waste.
Detecting filament runout and winding
Printing is never interrupted thanks to automated spool switching. Never fear about running out of filament while you’re sleeping or away again with the AMS filament backup function, which guarantees a smooth and uninterrupted printing process, prevents any filament waste, and encourages energy economy.
AMS can detect resistance at the tool head instantly and halt printing to prevent empty printing, which could be caused by tangled filament or a stopped spool.
Superior Intelligence System
The AMS has achieved previously unheard-of intelligence levels thanks to a 32-bit MCU, sensor arrays, actuators, and an intelligent algorithm. It efficiently handles defect detection and recovery, as well as the loading and unloading of filaments.
Leave Wet Filaments Behind
Filament that has absorbed moisture can cause poor layer adhesion, print quality problems, and even nozzle clogging that can result in a failed print.
With the use of desiccant material, the AMS’s airtight seal absorbs moisture to keep it away from the filament. The humidity within the AMS is also detected by a humidity sensor, which informs the user when the humidity is higher or the desiccant might need to be changed.
Filament that is dry is necessary for the greatest print quality.
Automatic Filament Recognition
Bambu Lab filaments use RFID, which the AMS reads to determine the ideal settings for your material automatically. The RFID tag and Bambu Studio are immediately synchronised.
Non-Bambu Lab Filaments require manual configuration in the printer or in Bambu Studio.
