The Formlabs Clear Resin is part of the standard family of resins for Formlabs SLA 3D Printers. The Clear Resin is great for fluidics and mould making, optics, lighting, and any parts requiring translucency. With these resins, you can 3D print strong, precise concept models and prototypes that bring your ideas to life.
Standard Resins are suitable for use with all Form SLA printers and any Resin Tank

Transparency

Formlabs Clear Resin is one of the most popular options when it comes to 3D printing transparent components. It’s unique properties mean that it is irreplacable by other resins on the market

Tensile Strength

The tensile-strength and Young’s Modulus of Clear Resin is higher than that of ABS plastic when post-cured. Combining quick production with strong mechanical properties makes Clear Resin suitable for many uses.

Opaque or Clear Surface Properties

The properties of the material can be altered so that it can appear transparent or opaque. This property is dependent on printer setting, the post-processing and degree at which you polish the component.

Versatility

Clear Resin is perfect for general purpose prototyping and design. It’s precision in manufacture makes it excellent for capturing small details. It is also incredibly easy to use, with parts being able to be used straight off the printer.

Heat Deflection

With a 58.4 °C / 137.1 °F @ 0.45 MPa heat deflection temperature, you can be assured that parts printed with Clear Resin will be suitable to be used in the manufacture of most domestic products.

Quick Cure Time

Standard Clear Resin only requires a cure time of 10-15 minutes. This is up to 75% quicker than other resins on the market, this enables your business to adapt a more efficient development and prototyping process.
