Formlabs Rigid 10k Resin

 

This highly glass-filled resin is the stiffest material in our engineering portfolio. Choose Rigid 10k Resin for precise industrial parts that need to withstand significant load without bending.

Resin Tank LT (Form 2) or Resin Tank V.2 (Form 3) are required for printing with Rigid 10k Resin.

Very Stiff Material

Rigid 10k Resin has a Tensile modulus of 10GPa, this is the highest tensile modulus in the whole Formlabs Resin range. The materials ability to keep an uniform shape while under a lot of stress makes it ideal for high precision and high performance components.

Tensile Strength

The Rigid 10k Resin is very sturdy as it has a tensile strength of 65 MPA and a Flexural modulus of 10 GPa. It is suitable to be used in many high-stress environments.

Resistant to Heat and Chemicals

With a 82 °C  @ 0.45 MPa heat deflection temperature, you can be assured that parts produced with Rigid 10k Resin are resistant to heat. As well as this, the Rigid 10k Resin is very resistant to chemical attack making it suitable for use outdoors, with food or even with hazardous materials

Smooth Surface Finish

Using Rigid 10k Resin produces accurate components which will meet your design tolerances. Rigid 10k Resin also produces parts with a smooth finish, giving any design a visually pleasing aesthetic.

Why Chose Rigid 10k over Rigid 4k

Rigid 10k Resin has a Flexural modulus which is more than double that of the Rigid 4k, it also has a much lower elongation percentage at breaking. Rigid 10k Resin produces parts which are more stiff and less likely to bend under a significant load.

Rigid 10k Resin is commonly used for: Short-run injection mould masters and inserts, aerodynamic test models, heat resistant and fluid exposed components and many more.
