Markforged Metal X

Markforged

SKU: F-PR-5000 Category:

Mark forged Metal X is the latest 3D printer from Markforged. It delivers metal parts at a fraction of the cost of typical metal manufacturing processes. Metal X prints metal using traditional FDM methodology by bounding powder in a plastic matrix which is then removed during the debinding & sintering process.

Tried & Tested:

The Markforged Metal X is based on Markforged 4th generation 3D printing technology and provides a new cost effective method of printing metal. The metal powder is bound in a plastic matrix to create a green part. This part is then washed & sintered to create a 99% dense metal part.

Reduce cost and weight:

Markforged Metal X creates closed-cell infill that reduces the weight and cost of parts compared to a traditional manufacturing.

Innovative manufacturing:

Markforged Metal X use their own innovative technology ADAM (Atomic Diffusion Additive Manufacturing), Parts are printed layer by layer including the complex calculations required to accurately predict contraction. By using ADAM technology it is easier for designers to manufacture complex enclosed internal structures to create light parts that don’t sacrifice part strength. In older, more traditional techniques a ole is required for unused powder to exit the part but this is not required on the Metal X.

Easy handling:

Mark forged Metal X reduces the fuss of manufacturing by utilising cloud-based 3D printer management software – Eiger, built-in touch screen interface, aautomatic material tracking making the Metal X the simplest and most creative way to manufacture fully functioning metal parts.

Reliable:

Metal X is inexpensive, typically 10 times cheaper than alternative metal additive manufacturing technologies and up to 100 times less expensive than traditional fabrications technologies like machining and casting.  Metal X also prints components with predictable precision and tolerance using AI software.

Build Volume:

The build volume of Markforged Metal X is 300 × 220 × 180mm and the machine weight is 68kg.

Build Quality:

Markforged metal X sets the standard in industrial design having excellent build quality with an ultra-quiet motion system, fully enclosed build chamber, and environmentally controlled material storage.

Eiger Software:

Eiger is class leading cloud based 3D printing software, with features like automatic version control, real-time fleet management, and cloud-based collaboration. Print straight to you Markforged Metal X from any browser.

Support Materials:

Markforged Metal x can print with various materials like Stainless Steel, Tool Steel, Inconel, and Titanium. Every material has different properties and serves different purposes. A ceramic layer is laid down between support and part to allow for easy support removal.

Post-processing Equipment:

Markforged Metal X has two furnaces options; one medium sized and one large sized named Sinter-1 and Sinter-2 with an automatic washing station called Wash-1.
