The Form 3L has two Light Processing Units that work simultaneously, this allows big prints to still be created in small time frames. As well as this, the lasers used still offer a resolution as precise as the Form 3 formlabs printer.
Use two of the same resin cartridges that are used by Form 2 and 3 to go longer without running out of resin. Use the same user-replaceable Light Processing Unit (LPU) as Form 3. Use Preform, the same slicing software used with the Form 2 and 3.
Biggest Range of Materials
Investing in a Form 3BL over a Form 3L opens up more possibilities as you are able to print medical and bio-compatible materials on the Form 3BL. All the medical resins have been FDA approved and are suitable to use in hospitals and other medical practices.
Low Force Stereolithography
It uses a technology called Low Force Stereolithography, which significantly reduces the forces exerted on parts during the print process which can me optimised in Preform. This is achieved by a flexible resin tank that bows gradually as the part is lowered into the resin.
This process enables light-touch support structure and improves performance and repeatability. With the Form 3BL, true rapid prototyping is made possible and post-processing is made easier with snap away support structure.
