Tough 1500 Resin

Tough 1500 Resin is the most resilient material in our functional family of Tough and Durable Resins. Choose Tough 1500 Resin for stiff and pliable parts that bend and spring back quickly.

Tough 1500 Resin is ideal for:

  • Prototypes that repeatedly bend and quickly return to shape
  • Jigs and fixtures requiring repeated deflection
  • Simulating the strength and stiffness of polypropylene (PP)

Tough 1500 Resin produces stiff and pliable parts that bend and spring back quickly under repeated use. This material is ideal for functional prototypes, jigs and fixtures, and connectors undergoing temporary deflection or high impacts.

Tough 1500 Resin performs similarly to polypropylene in terms of strength and stiffness, which makes it an excellent choice for prototyping products that will be made from that material.

Durable Resin

Durable Resin is the most pliable, impact resistant, and lubricious material in our functional family of Tough and Durable Resins. Choose Durable Resin for squeezable parts and low-friction assemblies.

Durable Resin is ideal for:

  • Squeezable prototypes
  • Low friction assemblies and non-degrading surfaces
  • Jigs and fixtures undergoing significant impacts
  • Simulating the strength and stiffness of polyethylene (PE)

Durable Resin is impact resistant and highly wear resistant, capable of extreme deformation before breaking, and has low friction compared to standard resins and Tough Resin. Use Durable to prototype parts that will eventually be made from polypropylene (PP) or high density polyethylene (HDPE). It is best used when these features are required in a room-temperature application.

Durable is ideal for engineering prototypes and has been developed to withstand high strain. Consider Durable Resin for applications that require impact resistance for rugged prototyping and for models that feel or look like real polypropylene. Like Flexible Resin, Durable Resin also works for objects that require some flexibility. Unlike Flexible Resin, Durable also maintains good rigidity.
