Creaform 3D Scanners – For greater build volume

The Creaform HandySCAN 3D is the most effective and reliant 3D scanner that design, manufacturing and metrology engineers can use.

With an accuracy of 0.025mm, the HandySCAN 3D can measure physical objects to an incredible level of precision; ensuring that highly accurate and repeatable results are generated every time; whatever the environment.

Weighing only 0.94kg, the Creaform HandySCAN 3D lives up to its name – convenient and light, the handheld scanner can easily be used extensively without the user tiring from exertion.

With an incredibly quick speed of measurements, users can finish scanning large objects in shorter times than ever before, through the 11 laser cross system implemented in the HandySCAN 3D.

FAI (First Article Inspection)

In the world of manufacturing, the individuals ability to inspect product models is crucial. Creaform 3D Scanners, due to their high levels of accuracy in measurements, are therefore the perfect solution to this requirement. Free-form products are the most difficult to inspect, however, they prove no issue for the laser units within the Creaform HandySCAN 3D; with the high accuracy of measurements being retained across many differently shaped objects that are inspected.

The advantages of choosing Creaform 3D scanners are many: for one, they can be used in various environments, creating the convenience you need to inspect your objects and reduce time usage in doing so. Additionally the Handyscan 3D can further speed your inspection time by giving you highly accurate mesh models of your scans that are always required by standard.

Reverse Engineering in Car Design

In order to re-design or re-engineer car parts, designers are typically seen to use the method of reverse engineering, wherein parts are needed to be essentially re-made, section by section.

Using Creaform 3D scanners, engineers can generate accurate 3D models that fully represent the functional dimensions of the part being measured. The HandySCAN 3D will make these measurements with ease, due to its ability to measure freeform objects such as car doors and geometry whilst retaining high levels of accuracy, meaning that the process of reverse engineering is easier than ever in the car industry.

Rapid Prototyping of Consumer Products

In new product development, the time to market is crucial. Therefore, in all processes within it, any opportunity ti increase time efficiency is one to take advantage of. Through the use of Creaform 3D scanners, developers are now able to quickly measure the dimensions of a model in order to create a prototype with ease.

Creaform 3D Scanners are able to take such measurements in many different conditions, making them the choice to in scanning solutions. The HandySCAN 3D can take accurate measurements, whether in the design studio, or on a customer’s production floor.
