BCN3D Consumables Range
BCN3D Consumables is a wide range of materials to suit any need. The materials have been specifically designed to work will the BCN3D printers, resulting in good reliability and high quality prints.
PP
Food Safe and Chemical Resistant
PP is a thermoplastic that is resistant to chemicals and is safe to use with food. It is a flexible and durable material with a good resistant to wear and impacts.
Uses:
- Food packaging
- Living hinges
- Lightweight parts
Tough PLA
Impact Resistant and Versatile
Tough PLA is a versatile material that is easy to print and produces consistently good results. It has a good surface finish, is biodegradable, stiff and has a good impact resistance. It is a good alternative to ABS.
Uses:
- Manufacturing aids
- End use parts
TPU
Flexible and Durable
TPU is a elastomer with good mechanical properties. The material is wear resistant, chemical resistant and is durable. It’s flexibility makes it ideal for creating seals, grips and parts requiring friction.
Uses:
- Seals
- Soft touch items
PA
Wear and Temperature Resistance
PA (Polyamide) is an engineering plastic, characterised by its great resistance to impact forces and ability to work continuously at a temperature of up to 120 ºC for an extended period of time. A low coefficient of friction allows for short term use with moving parts.
Uses:
- Tool handles
- Cam, rollers and snap fit joints
PVA
Water Soluble Support Structure
PVA is a water soluble support structure that is used to help support complex geometries. The material can be dissolved away to leave the final print, it is eco-friendly and can be disposed of in the sink.
Uses:
- Support Structures
ABS
Stiff and Impact Resistant
ABS is a good material to use in an industrial environment. It has an attractive matte finish, good stiffness, dimensional stability. It has good layer adhesion which allows for easy printing.
Uses:
- Parts under high mechanical stress
- Strong prototypes
PET-G
Easy to Print with Good Mechanical Properties
PET-G has a good balance of strength and elongation at break. It is resistant to water and chemicals, therefore it’s often used for water tight containers. The material is easy to print and has better mechanical properties than PLA.
Uses:
- Parts in contact with salts, acids etc.
- Waterproof applications
