The key to producing the high performance tooling is the ability to pause Markforged 3D prints and drop in steel reinforcement in specific areas.

This results in a tool that is 7x cheaper and 8x faster to produce.

The business value to the above is huge.

Take on jobs previously not possible ensuring you are always at capacity

Reduce the cost of existing contracts where new tooling is required

Quickly iterate on and test new tooling designs

Create modular tooling designs allowing you to swap parts of the tool out for different models

Frequently we find multiple applications for a Markforged composite 3d printers within a business. This can extend to many other areas, for example we have had many customers produce welding jigs.

Welding Jigs

If you are creating welding jigs by welding steel together you could improve on this process with more precise welding jigs that are faster to produce and significantly cheaper.

Welding Jig

See the welding jig case study below for more info. With newly released V-0 rated flame retardant composite material the Markforged are even better equipped then it was for this kind of job.
